It’s Small Press Month!

Sound the alarm, folks!! It’s Small Press Month!

You might be wondering what that means, but for a gal who loves to read “weird girl fiction”, I’m so excited for March because it’s the month we can celebrate the small publishers that are still hunting for original, oftentimes cutting-edge manuscripts that might not be as “marketable” for a larger press. 

Just like independent bookstores, small presses are working often from the passion and love of all things books, but without a big company to back them. But the nice thing is…they get to have a lot more say in what they publish, and can take more chances when it comes to the more “artsy” stories that are put on their desks. 

So, if you’re like me and want to find some strange books, here’s a small list of some that I recommend from small publishers!
