One of our core values at Birdie Books is connection, and there’s nothing we love more than to celebrate that by highlighting different collections each month! This month is Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, and also Jewish Heritage Month! 

Growing up, I remember how excited I was to read a book where I could connect in some way with a character that had a completely different outlook on the world than I did. Not only did it feel like I could live a thousand lives, but that I had a whole new way of engaging with the people around me. Honestly, that’s why books have been such a huge part of my life since I can remember. 

To help us celebrate, we’ve created both adult and children's book lists so any age can find a story to dig into! Hopefully, just like I have time and time again, you’ll be able to find a gem that will make you feel seen or see someone in a completely new way.
