Junk Journal Workshop

  • 74 N State St Westerville, OH 43081 USA (map)

Turn everyday “junk” into a one-of-a-kind creative journal at our Junk Journal Workshop! In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the basics of junk journaling while creating layered, personalized pages using found materials, paper scraps, collage elements, and keepsakes.

Your $35 ticket includes a journal to use during the workshop, along with access to a large shared supply table filled with magazines, collage paper, scissors, glue, tape, and other creative materials. No experience is necessary — just bring your creativity and curiosity.

We also encourage everyone to start collecting little bits of “trash” ahead of time to incorporate into your journal. Think receipts, old photos, junk mail, ticket stubs, fabric scraps, wrappers, packaging, handwritten notes, maps, book pages, stickers, postcards, scrap paper and other small treasures that might otherwise be thrown away. The more personal the materials, the more unique your journal will become. No rules, just good vibes and plenty of inspiration.

Whether you’re looking for a relaxing creative outlet, a memory-keeping practice, or simply an excuse to make art in community, this workshop is the perfect place to start.
